The new Stony Plain Care Centre will consist of 126 long term care beds and an area for a children's daycare. The new building will be attached to the 30 bed dementia/Alzheimer care cottage, which opened in 2006.   The building will be two stories designed with three distinct residential wings on each floor that extend out from a centrally located service core.


 

 

 

 

 

 



 

Each wing is designed and equipped to balance a small community with operational efficiencies.

Each residential wing includes a:

  • Nursing station & med room

  • Fireplace lounge with access to patio or balcony

  • Tub room

  • Laundry room

  • Clean linen room

  • Dirty linen room

  • Dining room and servery



 

 

 

 


 

The main floor service core will include the:

  • Chapel

  • Tuck shop

  • Administration offices

  • Volunteer lounge

  • Multi-purpose room

  • Family dining/conference room

  • Food Services

  • Shipping / receiving & supply management

  • Garbage & recycling room

  • Staff facilities

The second floor service core will include the:

  • Rehab area

  • Conference room

  • Staff training room & support area

  • Guest suite
